YOUR HEART IS DEAD!!!

YOUR HEART IS DEAD!!!

“WHAT IS A DEAD HEART?” He asked the crowd. Everyone was listening carefully. The masjid crowded by more than 800 people was soundless as if no one was there. No one made a noise. Only the sound of fans spinning and the sound of a person delivering an energetic talk were heard. Everyone was focusing on him. The combination of his style and choosing of words in his speech made him merely perfect as a public speaker.

“What is a dead heart ladies and gentleman? What does it mean by having a dead heart? Who dares to answer me this question? He challenged the crowd by his tricky question.

Everybody was talking, silence was no longer heard. Everybody was finding the answer to his question.

A dead heart?! What is he talking about? Does he mean a dead man? A corpse maybe or a zombie? Even I was puzzled and confused by his question.

“Who dares to come in front and answer my question and make an analogy or simulation regarding your answer, this RM50 note will be yours” he said while waving the RM50 note in his hand.

Man! I felt like going in front, but shiver has taken over my body. Standing in front holding a microphone? Huh! In my dreams!

After waiting for about 10 minutes, the speaker continued with his provocation. “Because of everyone here is a scaredy cat so this RM50 note remains mine, and this means that everyone in front of me; YOUR HEARTS ARE DEAD!!” He made my blood boil but I cannot do anything because of my limitations. I am a coward.

He then put down the microphone; he took a drinking glass by his right hand and a bottle of mineral water by his left. He then shouted “As you can see this glass on my right is your heart and this bottle on my left is hidayah or light. What happens if I pour water in this glass when it is upside-down? Will any drop of water enter this glass?”

Some voices at the back of crowd shouted “It will, it will.”

“I heard some voices from the back-benchers there saying that I’m wrong. Well let’s who’s wrong and who’s right.” He provoked the crowd again.

The speaker opened the lid of the bottle a poured all 1.5 litre of water on the upside-down glass. Everyone was terror-stricken by the moment. I who was sitting down stood up and looked at the scene vigorously without a blink, many others did so too. “He spilt the water on the carpet! He spilt it!” I cried.

“I don’t care whether the carpet is wet or not. I don’t care also if my trousers are wet. Don’t worry, it is clean water. I have asked for permission to soak this carpet from the masjid authority. Ladies and gentlemen, who is wrong now, me or those at the back there?” He continued on penetrating the audience minds. Everyone was silent again, everyone who stoop up before sat back again.

“This is the analogy, the symbol of our heart if our hearts are dead. A dead heart is a closed heart. If your hearts are closed then even if all the water in the world are poured trying to nourish your heart, not even a single drop will enter your heart. Because your heart is dead, closed from light, only darkness can enter your heart. Those like this are like walking zombies, deceased before your death comes. Do you want to be like this ladies and gentlemen?

A dead heart is the opposite of a healthy heart. It does not know its Lord and does not worship Him as He commands, in the way which He likes, and with which He is pleased. It clings instead to its lusts and desires, even if these are likely to incur Allah's displeasure and wrath. It worships things other than Allah, and its loves and its hatreds, and its giving and its withholding, arise from its whims, which are of paramount importance to it and preferred above the pleasure of Allah. Its whims are its imam. Its lust is its guide. Its ignorance is its leader. Its crude impulses are its impetus. It is immersed in its concern with worldly objectives. It is drunk with its own fancies and its love for hasty, fleeting pleasures.

It is called to Allah and the akhira from a distance but it does not respond to advice, and instead it follows any scheming, cunning shayton. Life angers and pleases it, and passion makes it deaf and blind to anything except what is evil.* Rasulullah says: "Your love for something that makes you blind and deaf." (Related by Abu'd-Darda'. Abu Daw'ud, al-Adab, 14/38; Ahmad, al-Musnad, 5/194. The hadith is classified as hasan)

Those who possess a dead heart will not be saved by ALLAH on the Day of Resurrection! Allah says: "The day on which neither wealth nor sons will be of any use, except for whoever brings to Allah a sound heart. (Asy-Syu’ara’:88-89)"

When I heard this ayah, I felt like a lightning struck my heart ALLAH will not save me if my heart is DEAD!!!

“Ladies and gentleman, this is the heart that you have to own a healthy heart (Qolbun Salim) In defining the healthy heart, the following has been said: "It is a heart cleansed from any passion that challenges what Allah commands, or disputes what He forbids. It is free from any impulses which contradict His good. As a result, it is safeguarded against the worship of anything other than Him, and seeks the judgement of no other except that of His Messenger (saw). Its services are exclusively reserved for Allah, willingly and lovingly, with total reliance, relating all matters to Him, in fear, hope and sincere dedication. When it loves, its love is in the way of Allah. If it detests, it detests in the light of what He detests. When it gives, it gives for Allah. If it withholds, it withholds for Allah. Nevertheless, all this will not suffice for its salvation until it is free from following, or taking as its guide, anyone other than His Messenger (saw)."

Masyallah...I realize that I have a dead heart all along...I didn’t know about this...It is time for me to come back to life from the DEAD!!! I will never let Syaitan control my thoughts ever again!!!

ARE YOU WITH ME?!

nothing.....

Nothing…nothing here…nothing there…empty…Zero…I felt nothing in my heart…I felt nothing to be thought…

Nothing to do…Nothing to worry…no nothing…

Why?
When I do something bad, I feel nothing...Even a sin if it is been done, I felt like “nothing”…Nothing in my heart…No feeling at all!!!

Why?
Is this what they call a dead heart? A heart that is closed for light, only darkness can enter…Does that mean my heart is dead and I do not have a chance to repent?

Why?
If I have a dead heart, then am I dead already? Nah, nonsense…I am still alive and breathing…so why I don’t have any feelings at all?

Why?
Many people asked me to give some advice, a motivation or talk to them…but how can I give something when I don’t have anything?

Why?
I don’t hate myself or my life…but I don’t feel anything…Even if they call me a fraud, coward, I still don’t feel anything…

Why?

Who can answer?
